MS Society of Canada

Multiple sclerosis is a complex disease. While it is most often diagnosed in young adults, aged 15 to 40, it does affect children, some as young as two years old. The impact is felt by family, friends and by the community. MS is unpredictable, affecting vision, hearing, memory, balance and mobility. Its effects are physical, emotional, financial—and they last a lifetime. There is no cure. The mission of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada is to be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life.

Kiva

Kiva's mission is to connect people, through microfinance lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty. Kiva empowers individuals to lend to an entrepreneur of their choice anywhere on the globe. Being women entrepreneurs ourselves, we fiercely champion other women who are supporting themselves and providing for their families with ingenuity, tenacity, and self-reliance. As the loans are repaid, we re-invest the funds toward other commendable enterprises in the Kiva network. Our ability to support entrepreneurs all over the world grows every month.

Tree Canada

Tree Canada promotes the planting and maintenance of trees—taking into account the reality that putting a tree in the ground is only a small part of the battle to keep trees growing. In addition to ReLeaf reforestation projects, donations fund programs that promote and increase urban forests throughout Canada's municipalities, as well as programs to tree schoolyards to make them safer, cooler and greener places to learn and play.

In addition to funds we donate to charity, we also give our time to community causes we support, such as Habitat for Humanity and local ESL and Literacy programs.
